Woman commits suicide in Douala after being accused of cannibalism

After being accused of cannibalism, a woman in the Bonamoussadi community in the Douala Littoral Region has chosen to end her life.

The woman made the decision to eat rat poison on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, because she could not bear the disgrace brought on by the accusations of individuals in her community.

The woman, a teacher, was accused of abusing her nephews and nieces who resided in her home.

She was reputed to have beaten these kids repeatedly, according to the neighbors. She allegedly used to bite their necks, arms, chests, backs, and shoulders, among other body parts.

When her students learned of the tragic news of her passing, they reportedly remained inconsolable because they regarded her as a mother.
