Western Region: DO orders farmers to trim crops to preempt separatists attacks

The Divisional Officer of Kouoptamo subdivision, in the Western region of Cameroon, has ordered farmers in his locality to trim or prune their crops.

The DO, Adrien Ehode's order is contained in a decision made public on Wednesday 28th June 2022 in which he called on farmers in his subdivision to trim or prune their crops up to 1 meter in height.

The DO further warned that farmers, who flaunt his order that their farms would be destroyed within 10 days.

BiVoundi 24 News recalls that on Thursday 9th June, separatists allegedly led by "general no pity" attacked the Njitapon gendarme brigade in the neighboring subdivision of Noun.
