The Presidency orders a halt to proceedings against Basile Atangana Kouna (correspondence)

It won't be long before former water and energy minister Basile Atangana Kouna gets freed. In fact, the charges against the former member of the government have been dismissed, according to a letter from the Minister of State, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh, to the Minister of State, Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals.

"I have the honor to transmit to you the High Instructions reiterating its Agreement, in view of the measure referred to and indicating that the use of Article 64 (3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure is without interest, in this case, the interested party has fully returned the value in question," Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh wrote in his correspondence.
