"The Government thinks we are stupid..." CEO, SWAMPUTEE AFC

The Chief Executive Officer of the Southwest Amputee Football Association Football Club, SWAMPUTEE AFC says the Government considers amputees and other physically challenged persons as stupid and useless.

Ndifor Joel is one of the players of the National Amputee Football team.

He and three of his players last year represented Cameroon at the Amputee African Nation Football Tournament that took in the East African Nation of Tanzania from November 26th to 7th December 2021. Cameroon emerged in 7th position in that Competition.

He recalled that Cameroon took 7th position in that Competition because the ministry of Sports and FECAFOOT refused to assist them.

Ndifor Joel, who spoke to BiVoundi 24 News on Saturday 18th June explained that the ministry of Sports and FECAFOOT did not even provide a playground for these players to train before leaving for Tanzania and that the duo did not even provide the team with passports, and accommodation and other assistance, the reason the team's poor performance in Tanzania.

He further recalled that upon returning from Tanzania neither the ministry of Sports nor FECAFOOT made a passing reference to their presence in Tanzania even though they were in Tanzania to defend the national colors, adding, that the Government thinks amputees and other physically challenged persons are stupid and useless.
