SW: GCE Markers Stranded over None-payment of marking fee.

Markers of the July 2022 session of the General Certificate of Education Examination, organized by the GCE Board have been stranded in Buea over the non-payment of their making dues by the board we have been informed.
BiVoundi 24 News gathered that the board agreed to pay the markers 500frs each per each script corrected.
The marking exercise of the current session of the GCE kick-started on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022.
We have been informed that at the end of the marking exercise on Monday, August 8th the markers were asked to return the next day to collect their marking dues, only to be told there was no money to pay them.
As of now, we don't know the next step the markers plan to take.
For the Southwest Region, there were only two examination centers: Buea and Limbe.
This year's June Session of the GCE started on Tuesday, June 28.
Everything being equal the results are expected on or before mid-August.
