Senegal: President Macky Sall decrees 3 days of mourning after the death of 11 babies

President Macky Sall has decreed a 3-day national mourning period for the 11 babies who died in Mame Abdou Aziz Sy Dabakh de Tivaouane hospital.

"By Decree No. 2022-1170 of May 26, 2022, the President of the Republic has declared national mourning of three (03) days from Thursday, May 26, 2022, following the fire at the hospital of Mame El hadji Abdoul Aziz Sy of Tivaouane, causing the death of newborns. During this period, flags will be flown at half-mast throughout the country," announced the President of the Senegalese Republic.
