Regional development mapping by the SWRH

The Southwest Regional House with headquarters in Buea, headed by the Commissioner for Health and Social Development, William Elangwe Itoe, has just ended a meeting in the Meme Divisional headquarters, Kumba to collect data to map out Regional Development in the region.
The meeting that took place at the conference hall of the kumba 1 council, brought together mayors from all the five subdivisions, traditional rulers, members of the civil society, women youth groups, and Divisional Delegates representing all the Government ministries in Meme.
Addressing the participants, William Elangwe Itoe, explained the Regional House convened the meeting to collect data from the participants to enable the house to come out with a sustainable development plan for the region to better serve them adding the Regional House was created to assist the region in its development strive.
He further explained that after the consultation the Regional House stands a better to access the needs of the people living in a particular Division.
After the Commissioner's address, the various Divisional Delegates took turns presenting the needs of their ministries.
This same consultation that has previously taken place in the Kupe Maneguba division will also be held in all the various divisional headquarters.
The First Assistant Senior Divisional Officer of Meme represented his boss.
The meeting was titled, "The collection and Consolidation of Data within the framework of producing a Regional Development data for the Southwest."
