QATAR 2022: President Paul Biya Offers 18 Million FCFA Per Indomitable Lions Team Member

President Paul Biya, the head of state, has ordered a special prize of 18 million FCFA for every member of the senior men's national football team for qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

In a letter addressed to the captain of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, the minister of sports said the incentive was a gesture from the Head of State honoring his promise to the team member on their qualification for the Qatar 2022 WorldCup.

The minister said the money will come from his ministry's bank account and every member of the team will have their individual bank accounts credited.

As a recall, Cameroon defeated Algeria in March this year in the play-offs to qualify for the world cup in Qatar.
