Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang retires from international football

In a statement, the Gabonese Football Federation informs that the player has decided not to come to the national team. He will not be with the Panthers for the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations 2023.

"After 13 years of pride in representing my country, I announce that I put an end to my international career. I would like to thank the Gabonese people and all those who supported me in good and bad times. I will keep a lot of good memories like the day I made my debut at the Omnisports, or the day I came back from Nigeria with the African Golden Ball. And sharing it with all the people was an unforgettable moment," wrote Pierre Emerick Aubamayang in a letter to the Gabonese Football Federation.
