NW: Teacher commits suicide by hanging in classroom

The family, friends, and colleagues of Tata Sylvanus Kangong, a teacher at GHS Misaje, are still struggling to come to terms with the nature of his death by hanging on Monday 25 July 2022.

The body of the teacher was found hanging in a classroom that fateful Monday.

The teacher, from Djotin, Noni, Oku, Bui Division, is reported to have left the house at 7 pm that Monday telling the family that if anyone was looking for him they should check for him in school.

His family and friends were later shocked to learn he had committed suicide in one of the classes of that school by hanging.

Why Mr. Sylvanus took away his life remains uncertain. But investigations have been opened by both the family and the security.

Before his death, he was a teacher at GHS Misaje.

He leaves behind a wife and three children.
