Menchum: Confrontation between separatists and military leaves one separatist dead

A confrontation between the separatists and the military in Esu in Menchum Division, Northwest Region on Saturday 18th, June 2022 allegedly left one separatists dead and a woman wounded.

BiVoundi 24 News has gathered that the confrontation occurred when the separatists attempted to attack the gendarme station there.

We further learned that in the exchange, a separatist was killed and a woman wounded by a stray bullet.

The body of the separatist we further gathered was displayed for public viewing.

The confrontation between the two, we have learned came on the killing of nine civilians by the military on 1st June 2022 in Fundong.
