Meme Football league launched

The Meme football league has been launched.

The league was launched at the Government Practicing school, Kumba 1 subdivision in the presence of the First Assistant SDO for Meme, the Divisional Officers of Kumba 1, Kumba 2, and Kumba 3, and the mayors representing the five subdivisions.

The opening match was between the Bright Stars of prophet Kevin Nubiga, and the Gunners of Kumba. The match ended in a one-all draw.

The rest of the games will take place each Wednesday and Sunday at the GPS school field and Will end on August 28.

The following clubs are taking part in the competition, Jesus FC, Biyos Kake, Rudy, Dream Cast, Panesta.

The aim of the competition is to select one club to represent the Meme Division at the FECAFOOT Second Division Regional league.

The president of the Meme league, James Ewane Sumelong, in his opening speech called on the players to exhibit a sense of fair play and sportsmanship.
