MBALANGI: Gunmen attack funeral convoy

Heavily armed gunmen believed to be separatists, Saturday 23rd July 2022, around the weighbridge at Mbalangi along the Kumba-Buea stretch of road, attacked a funeral convoy from Limbe, Fako Division, to Kumba in Meme Division.

The vehicle and the mourners on board were diverted into the forest we further gathered.

The passengers were later robbed of their phones, money and other durables a source later told BiVoundi 24 News.

The funeral convey was released to continue the journey to Kumba.

We were later informed that some of the "big men" who could not bear the shock made an about turn to Limbe.

The military only arrived later after the gunmen had disappeared into thin air.
