Man beaten to near death in Yaounde for failing to pay for consumed beer

In Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon, a man who has not been named has been severely beaten.

The incident happened on Monday, June 20, 2022, at about 9:00 PM in a neighborhood bar in Monté Jouvence.

The individual reportedly drank beer and stated that he had no money to pay.

An eyewitness claimed, "He drank beer for 7000frs and did not have money to pay," adding, "The bar owner descended on him and got him pummeled to near death."

Apparently, he was taken urgently to the hospital.

According to our sources, neighbors and onlookers threatened to close the bar where food is also served and denounced the incident.

The victim was receiving close medical attention at the time of this report.
