Le Coq Sportif terms FECAFOOT's decision as "unilateral and brutal"

The management of the French equipment manufacturer issued a statement this Friday, July 1, 2022, following its partner, the Cameroon Football Federation. The French equipment manufacturer "Le Coq Sportif" would not have been informed beforehand by the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) of the decision to break their partnership while it is spread over 4 years.

It says moreover to have been surprised and stunned at the same time, to discover such a decision through the media and denounces a "unilateral and brutal" decision. She defends herself for having always held to its commitments, including dressing the national teams, as it has already done during the Women's World Cup "France 2019", and during the African Cup of Nations (CAN) 2021 held at home last January and February.

"FECAFOOT has validated the jerseys developed by Le Coq Sportif for the next World Cup in Qatar, equipment that is approved by FIFA," said the French equipment manufacturer, which also indicates that it has undertaken discussions with the Cameroonian federation and its president Samuel Eto'o, in order to change its position and continue the collaboration.
