KUMBA: Pastor in police custody for allegedly insulting Prophet Mohammad

Pastor Aleng Favour of Kumba 1 subdivision is currently in police custody in Kumba for allegedly insulting Prophet Mohammad.

He is alleged to have insulted the prophet while preaching on Ocean City Radio on the 3rd of July 2022.

This later provoked the ire of the Muslim community, who threatened to put down the radio, but was calmed down by the Divisional Officer of Kumba 1, Ali Anougu, himself a Moslem

According to Enow Lawrence, a technician with the said radio the DO contacted the SDO, who was out of his station and ordered the pastor to be held in custody until his return
