KUMBA: Football tournament to sentisize population on plastic waste management kicks off tomorrow

A holiday football competition to sensitize the population of Kumba on proper waste management will kick off tomorrow Sunday 8th August 2022 we have learned.

The football tournament, in its 2nd edition, is the brainchild of "Waste Management for Kids and Community," whose President and founder is Prince Motapene Obase Mudika.

"The aim is to raise awareness on the effects of plastic in our environment, he explained, adding, "football is like a religion in Cameroon"

Last year's tournament took place in the Makiti neighborhood in, Endeley street Kumba.

Five teams took place in last year's tournament and it is expected more teams had registered for this year's tournament.

Kameni FC emerged champions in last year's competition.
