Kum Leonard births peace movement, assist IDP's

Journalist and Director of the Douala-based privately owned TV channel, Kum Leonard, has launched an initiative dubbed Peace House Movement which seeks to champion forgiveness and reconciliation in troubled parts of the country.


Kum Leonard took advantage of the initiative that coincided with his birthday to reach out to internally Displaced Persons who fled the Anglophone crisis and are currently seeking refuge in Souza, Moungo Division.


He told the IDPs "s that Peace House is an initiative of peace lovers and crusaders who are yearning that peace returns to Cameroon, adding, "we have not only come here to give you food items but to preach love, tolerance, forgiveness, and reconciliation."

The items distributed included bags of rice, salt, cartons of sugar, and detergents

Kum Leonard hails from Esu in Fungom, subdivision, Menchum Division of the restive Northwest Region. Menchum has recently been in the news following clashes between Fulanis militia and the indigenous population.
