Cameroonians believed until the end and have secured their qualification for the Qatar 2022 World Cup by obtaining, Tuesday, a victory over Algeria in the last seconds of the extra time (1-2 a.p). A goal in the very last seconds.

With no solution, both teams were forced to play extra time.


Algeria was saved in the 68th minute by goalkeeper M'Bolhi, who made a double save on two attempts by Léandre Tawamba and Martin Hongla.


Ahmed Touba then thought he had delivered his team at the end of the second overtime. In the 49th minute, they thought they had finally broken the deadlock with a goal from Slimani, which was eventually disallowed for an offside position.

Six minutes later, Algeria was about to equalize. Seven minutes later, Abdelkader Bedrane was sent into the box from Riyad Mahrez's cross, but he too was dangerous and just missed the target with his head.
