"I did not blaspheme against Prophet Mohammad," Pastor Favor

A Christian clergy detained for over three days at the Kumba 2 police station cell for blasphemy has denied the allegations.

Pastor Alleng Favor denied this allegation in a chat with BiVoundi24 News on Thursday 7th July 2022. Though he declined to comment further, he, however, permitted the reporter to listen to the taped message that landed him in detention.

In his Sunday call in a radio program titled "Hour of Truth," over Ocean City radio, Pastor Favor said contrary to Muslim belief Abraham was not a Jew, adding that Mohammad married Aisha and the marriage was consummated at the age of nine years.

We have been reliably informed that this point infuriated Muslims who threatened to bring down the radio station with fire, but was restrained by the Divisional Officer of Kumba 1.

Pastor Favor was picked up and detained by the Police but regained his freedom on Wednesday.

We gathered that he was made to sign and undertake never to mention the name of Prophet Mohammad again.

He declined to comment on this and denied to comment on allegations that he paid heavily to obtain his release.
