HM Ikanea John Elufa Manga Williams: New Paramount Chief of Limbe

HM Ikanea John Elufa Manga Williams was enthroned as the new paramount chief of Limbe in a grandiose ceremony that was held on Saturday, 11th June in Limbe.
The ceremony was attended by the cream of society. The Prime Minister and Head of Government was represented by Minister Atanga Nji, who is Cameroon's minister of territorial administration.
In his speech for the occasion, the new Paramount leader, Ikanea John Elufa Manga Williams said Limbe belongs to its indigenes and not to a "no man's land" as most people say. The new leader promised that "Limbe, the old Victoria will smile again" while waiting for a new seaport.
The Chief also exhorted all to be peaceful, hardworking, and collaborate with the government insisting that chiefs and traditional custodians must be respected in order to rekindle the flames of culture and economy. He made known his plans which include a modern museum and a multi-purpose cultural center.
The Governor of the South West region, Bernard Okalia Bilia also made the trip.
