Hajj 2022: 1bn FCFA subvention from the state of Cameroon

Reacting to criticisms from Muslims concerning the cost of the Hajj (Islamic pilgrimage) which currently stands at 3.294.000 FCFA, the President of the Republic of Cameroon has decided to act by granting a subsidy of 1 billion CFA francs. The news was announced by the Minister of State, Secretary-General of the Presidency, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh in written correspondence to the Minister of Territorial Administration.
