Fru Ndi to preside over NEC meeting 23rd July

The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Front SDF, John Fru Ndi will preside over an Ordinary National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party at the Yaounde, Regional Headquarters come Saturday 23rd July 2022 we have been reliably informed.

The SDF press release barely started that they will begin at 9 am without giving any reason for the meeting.

BiVoundi 24 News recalls that over the past few months the SDF has been plagued by a catalogue of problems within and without the party.

The party was recently evicted from its Bamenda headquarters office for owing rents amounting to CFA 4bn.

Before the recent issue, Fru Ndi was roundly criticized for his June 15th shadow cabinet shake-up, which saw the sacking of some militants, replacing others and bringing in a person as Nkongho Felix Agbor as shadow minister of Justice.

Though Barrister Nkongho Felix Agbor later declined the appointment, critics of Fru Ndi maintained barrister Nkongho has never been a militant of the SDF.

Following the announcement of the SDF shadow cabinet, some prominent SDF militants met in Mbouda in the Western Region and called on Fru Ndi to cancel the appointments, calling for an emergency NEC meeting, and even threatening to resign.

Watchers of the evolution of the SDF over the years say the Yaounde NEC meeting would surely centre on the current Crisis'within the SDF.
