Female AFCON 2022: Carine Atezambong Fomo, the only Cameroonian referee selected for the competition

Carine Atezambong of Cameroon will be a referee at the Africa Cup of Nations for Women in Morocco.

The 40 referees chosen for the Women's CAN Morocco 2022 have been revealed by CAF. They are from 24 countries and include sixteen (16) referees, sixteen (16) assistant referees, and eight (8) video assistant referees (VAR). Among these officials is Cameroonian Carine Atezambong, who will serve as an assistant in the competition.

Carine Fomo Atezambong has already competed in a number of important contests in Africa. She was part of the quartet that won the CHAN 2020 final in Cameroon.
