European airports on alert after latest Vladimir Putin comments as Russia edge closer to nuclear war

IrishMirror | Russia has warned that if NATO does not cease "flooding" weapon systems into Ukraine, it will pose an "enormous risk" to aviation in Europe.

Russia's next target, according to Foreign Minister Maria Zakharova, might be airports.

"We call on EU and NATO countries to cease the mindless flooding of the unviable Kyiv regime with the latest military systems in order to avert tremendous harm to international civilian aviation and other modes of transport in Europe and beyond," a Russian foreign ministry spokesperson said.

Russia will emerge stronger, according to Vladimir Putin, and sanctions imposed on the country would be retaliated against the West.
