Ekondo Titi has a new mayor

Ekondo Titi council with headquarters in Mundemba, Ndian Division Southwest region has a new mayor. The other councilors elected Mrs. Margaret Ndiba on the occasion of an extraordinary council session on Wednesday 15th June 2022 to replace slain Kenneth Nanji Eneh.

Kenneth Nanji Eneh, the Divisional Officer of Ekondo Titi, Timothe Abeloa; CPDM Section president, and some senior military officials were killed by a local bomb planted by separatist fighters while on a sensitization tour of the subdivision on 2nd March 2022.

Before the death of Kenneth Nanji Eneh, Margaret Ndiba was serving as the first deputy mayor of that council.

By the provision of the law, Margaret Ndaba, served as interim mayor following the death of Kenneth Nanji Eneh. She is the first female mayor of that municipal council.
