CJTU president visits Bamenda

The president of the Cameroon Journalists Trade Union CJTU has praised journalists in the Northwest Region for their resolve and tenacity in reporting the news despite the ongoing socio-political crisis currently going on in the region.
The CJTU president, Marion Obam, made this declaration on the occasion of her one-day maiden visit to Bamenda that took place on Friday 22nd July 2022.
Marion Obam, who was elected CJTU president on the 25th of June 2022 is the first president to visit Bamenda in 20 years.
Accompanied by some members of her executive she hailed the courage and tenacity of journalists in the region for objectively reporting the news despite the socio-political crisis in the region.
The president of the Union in the Northwest Region, Nji Ignatius, praised the president for her election and for the courage to visit the war-ridden region.
The meeting was also attended by the Governor of the Northwest Region, Lele I'Afrique.
