Cholera epidemic in Cameroon: A worrisome statistics


The cholera pandemic continues to spread across Cameroon's provinces.

8,241 cases of contamination have been documented in Cameroon, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. With 5,628 instances and 90 deaths, the South West region, which is experiencing a security crisis, has the greatest rate of contamination. The Littoral is next, with 2,208 contaminations and 58 deaths, according to OCHA.

According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, this severe diarrheal sickness has afflicted seven of Cameroon's 10 regions. These are the regions of the Center, Far North, North, Littoral, South West, and West.
