Cameroonian doctor, Professor Joseph Kamgno, wins the Christophe Merieux 2022 Prize

The head of the public health department at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Yaoundé I is rewarded in France for his research on neglected tropical diseases.
He got the renowned Christophe Mérieux Prize from Fondation Christophe et Rodolphe Mérieux - Institut de France on June 1, 2022 in Paris. The academicians of the Institut de France honored epidemiologist Joseph Kamgno for his work on filariasis. The event was attended by a number of dignitaries, including André Magnus Ekoumou, the Cameroonian ambassador to France.
Professor Joseph Kamgno is an accomplished physician who has undertaken numerous studies on filariasis and tropical diseases. He is also the chairman of the public health department at the University of Yaoundé I's Faculty of Medicine.
