BUEA: Mayor urges denizens to accompany the council in development

The Mayor of the Buea Council has urged the inhabitants of Buea to accompany the council in its development drive.
Mayor Barrister David Mafany Namange made this appeal last July 28, in a meeting he initiated for inhabitants to exchange with elected officials on their priority areas of development.
The meeting, which took place at the Town Hall was held under the theme "Community Participation in Local Development."
According to the mayor, "the meeting is to serve as a platform for consultation between the Council and stakeholders so as to permit them to be on the same page as concern matters of the community on Development," adding, "it is also an avenue for local officials to have an exchange with members of the Community issues pertaining to the City."
Buea denizens, who attended the meeting presented their worries ranging from lack of roads, water, Electricity, street light, land grabbing, waste management, etc.
In his response, he thanked the denizens for openly expressing their minds and worries and promised, "we have heard the worries of our denizens and we are going to integrate what members of the Community said ."
