Bishop Aloysius urges Christians to pray for him.

Mgr Aloysius Fondong, Bishop of Mamfe has called on Christians to pray for him.
The prelate made this appeal in his homily during a thanksgiving mass organized for the celebration of the gift of priesthood on July 8, 2022, at Saint Peter and Paul university parish Molyko, Buea.
The thanksgiving mass was graced with the presence of Bishop Emeritus Immanuel Bushu, Bishop Michael Bibi, and religious and secular officials.
In his homily, Bishop Aloysius Fondong thanked Bishop Bibi for the rare privilege given him as the first Bishop from Buea to be invited back home for a thanksgiving mass.
He also acknowledged God's abundant blessings and mercy towards him, unworthy as he is to be given the very demanding office of a chief shepherd of the Diocese of Mamfe.
Bishop Fondong also thanked those who in one way or the other contributed to his priestly formation among them Bishop Pius Awa of blessed memory, Bishop Emeritus Immanuel Bushu, and Bishop Michael Bibi.
In his opening remarks, the chief Shepherd of Buea, Bishop Bibi, praised the 72-year-old Diocese of Buea for still having the strength to give birth to a Bishop.
He used his 5-year experience to caution the young Bishop adding that as a Bishop he has gone through thick and thin; "you will suffer blackmail and hate speech," he said.
