BDEAC: Chad is contesting the nomination of a Cameroonian as the new President

Chad is contesting the appointment of the Cameroonian as President of the Development Bank of West African States, replacing the outgoing President, Fortunato-OFA Mbo Nchama who is from Equatorial Guinea.
After an exchange that took place between the Chadian Transitional President and the outgoing BDEAC President, the Chadian Finance Minister expressed Chad's surprise at the appointment of a new leader to head the sub-regional institution. According to the Minister, it has been a while since a Chadian headed the prestigious institution.
Chad expects the issue to be raised at the next session of the conference of Heads of States of Central Africa.
