Artisanal mining: 5 dead in a landslide in Nyabi

A mine landslide has left many people dead in the village of Nyabi in the eastern region of Cameroon.

According to Cameroon Tribune, five people died in the landslide at a gold mine in Belita on Thursday, June 9. Apart from the five bodies pulled from the rubble, eight people were rescued, the same source said. Informed, the Senior Divisional Officer of Kadey made a visit to the site of the tragedy to organize the rescue operation.
