Algeria vs Cameroon: FIFA sanctions Algeria

The Disciplinary Committee of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has begun to give its verdict on the case of the Algeria-Cameroon match, which was part of the second leg of the 2022 World Cup play-off.

Citing a source inside the Algerian Football Federation (FAF), the Algerian newspaper El Khabar reveals that the FIFA Disciplinary Committee has imposed a fine of 3,000 Swiss francs on the FAF (Algerian Football Federation).

According to the same source, the sanction follows the report drawn up by the referee of the meeting Algeria - Cameroon on March 29, Bakary Gassama, on the throwing of seats during this meeting which continues to be much talked about.

According to specialists on such matters, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee would have been lenient, since the Fennecs risked a higher fine, in addition to the risk of matches played behind closed doors.
