Algeria beats Cameroon 1 - 0 to take the lead at the Third Round Leg 1 of 2 FIFA World cup qualifiers that will be hosted by Qatar in mid-November 2022.

The over 100min-encounter was interrupted for a couple of minutes due to a minor electrical issue with one of the lighting projectors. A situation that was immediately managed by the technical staff of the Japoma Omnisport stadium in Douala, Cameroon's economic capital.

Although official statistics show Cameroon had higher ball possession and a comfortable pitch occupation, with more trials at the Algerian goal post, the Indomitable Lions weren't fortunate enough to hit the net.
