Albert Zeufack appointed World Bank's Director of Operations for DRC, Angola, Burundi...

Albert Zeufack, a Cameroonian economist, has been appointed to the position of Director of Operations of the World Bank for the DRC, Burundi, Angola, and Sao Tome & Principe. He will take office in July 2022. Before his appointment, Mr. Albert Zeufack held the position of Chief Economist for the Africa region at the World Bank.
He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Clermont-Ferrand. D., France, where he taught economics and applied econometrics before joining the World Bank. He joined the World Bank in January 1997 and has spent virtually his entire career at the Bank, holding several senior positions.
Albert Zuefack also worked in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia between 2008 and 2012 as chief economist and director of research and strategy for Khazanah Nasional Berhad, a sovereign wealth fund.
